Mad Mad Love
Love can be beautiful. So many things can come from it. But what happens when
that love turns corrupt?
Two drug dealers met in jail. Mickey had been caught dealing pot on the streets.
This was his eighth arrest. He sat at the station, waiting to be processed.
Mickey had no vision for a future. He didn’t have anything he cared about. That
was until he got arrested the eighth time.
Tonight, he wasn’t alone.
Mickey turned to his left. A girl his age sat next to him. At first, he couldn’t
see her face due to her black hood. Mickey rolled his eyes. Another dealer, huh?
How original.
“What are you here for? Pot?” Mickey asked.
“Molly.”
“Oh.” Now he had to know.
“First time?”
“Nope.”
“How many times?”
“Ten.”
Mickey whistled. “Are you serious?”
“Yeah.”
“All for Molly?”
“Nope.” She turned to face the pale boy.
“Molly, coke, pills, and assault.”
Mickey whistled. “Wow. Damn.”
“Yeah.”
Suddenly, the door slid open. A guard poked his head out. “Lisa Howard?” The
girl stood up. She took off her hood. Mickey’s face turned bright red. Who was
this angel? Her black her was in a messy tomboy cut. He only saw her pale cheek.
Such a pretty cheekbone. Oh…
“Lisa?” he asked. The girl turned her head. His heart fluttered against his
chest. Those eyes. Can such a grey-blue color exist in this world?
“What?” Lisa asked. Such an angelic face. Slender nose and plump lips. Mickey
thought he found his wife.
But the view didn’t stay long.
The guard led Lisa away to be processed.
---------
Mickey couldn’t let her go. He had to find her. Good thing she had a record.
Public records were easy to find online. Her mugshot looked more like a
headshot.
“Hello.”
Within minutes, Mickey had Lisa’s full name, age, birthdate, and address. She
wasn’t lying about her arrest record. The more he learned, the more it excited
him. There was only one thing left to do.
Mickey tracked down Lisa at a club called Lucky Star. It looked like a packed
party tonight. Mickey looked at the line. He couldn’t see the end as it wrapped
around the corner. He already knew a way in. His supplier had to see how this
was going to unfold.
“My boy, Carl, owes me a favor anyway,” they said. “Here.” They handed Mickey a
card.
“What’s this for?” he asked.
“Carl will know,” the supplier said. They gave him a wink. Mickey rolled his
eyes. Whatever.
He walked up to the bouncer. The muscled tattooed man stared him down.
“What?” he asked. The pot dealer said nothing as he handed him the card. Carl
said nothing and moved aside. Mickey said nothing as he walked into the club.

First Night
Mickey found Lisa over by the bar. She was at work dealing again. She looked as
beautiful as ever. The pot dealer gulped. He walked over to the girl. Mickey had
to maneuver around some of the clubbers in his path. He paid no attention to the
sweet glitter on their bodies. He kept his focus on Lisa. Her latest customers
handed her a large wad of cash. Micky drew in a breath and pushed further. He
came within inches of that angel. He reached for her shoulder. She whipped her
head around.
“What the hell?!” she asked. Mickey froze.
“Um… hi,” he said. The pounding music drowned out his voice.
“What?” Lisa asked. He tried yelling over the music. She still couldn’t hear
him. Mickey didn’t give up on talking to her. Mickey was blushing now. He’s
never done this before. Lisa sighed.
“Why?” she asked. He tried to speak but nothing came out. Mickey threw up his
hands.
“I don’t know,” he said. “I just do.” Lisa rolled her eyes.
“Prove it,” she said. Mickey stared at her dumbfounded.
“How?” he asked. She gave him a little smile. She gently poked him in the chest.
“By any means necessary,” Lisa said. Mickey grinned.
“Yes, my lady,” he said.

The First Kill
The man looked like he had been tortured. His left hand was gone. The right hand
was broken beyond repair. Fingers, bones, muscle, skin, and nerves were pulpy
mess. Cigarette burns covered his legs. His abdomen was cut open. The man’s face
was the worst part. Burnt with lighters and cut up with razors. Cause of death
was a deep slash to his throat. This man didn’t die quick. It didn’t help that
he had many enemies. So many that it was harder to find out who didn’t want this
man in the white suit dead.
---------
“You may kiss me now,” Lisa said.
“Can I take you on a real date?” Mickey asked. She leaned close to his face and
smiled.
“We’ll see,” she said. He kissed her on the lips. She happily kissed him back.
This was just the beginning. Both in romance and murder.
Lisa looked so good covered in blood.
