New Year’s Eve/Christmas Trip
Chapter One:
Christmas Break:
The holidays are
coming up. Most are going home. Noiz allowed to be so.
“If any of you
are flying home for the holidays, write it down on this sheet of paper,” she
said. The list took about three to four pages. Noiz read over the names.
“Are you going
home for the holidays?” Mosh asked as he embraced her from behind. She smiled
and shook her head.
“Nah,” she said.
Her husband gave her a puzzled look.
“What do you
mean?” he asked. She turned with a smile on her face.
“I don’t feel
like it,” Noiz said. “Besides, I have something special for the students here.”
“Huh?” Mosh
asked. Noiz gently took him by the cheeks.
“Are you
going back home for the holidays?” she asked.
“No,” he said.
“No?” Noiz asked
with an eyebrow raised.
“Don’t have
one,” he said. His wife got out of his grasp and turned to him.
“Well then,” she
said. “Looks like we’re going to have to make the most of this Christmas with
the students here, aren’t we?” Mosh blinked for a moment.
“What does that
mean? What are you planning to do?” he asked. She smiled and tapped him on the
nose.
“You are going
to have to come along and see, aren’t you?” Noiz asked. She turned and walked
down the hall. Mosh had to run and catch up with her.
Everyone living
for the holidays did so three days before Christmas Eve. Noiz wished them all a
safe trip.
“See you in
January,” she said. They each waved her off. Soon, the campus was mostly empty.
Those left behind didn’t mind it.
And now let’s check in on everyone over Christmas and New Year’s all around the world, shall we? It could be. Shall we do it? Good. Let’s get started.
