Lily Flower

Chapter One: Quest Goal:

Pat looked to have little quests during his parties. He fed off of competition. He joked that it kept him young inside. His friends just went along with it. Well, that itch came back again. Pat had the perfect quest in mind.

His guests awoke to ivory envelopes taped to their doors. The TZA staff had puzzled looks on their faces.

“What is this?” Louise asked. She took down the envelope and opened it. She raised her eyebrow as she read what was on the paper.

The Butter Flower.

Where is it? How can you find it? What is it worth? What exactly is it?

I have a mission for you.

Bring me the Butter Flower. Come to the main dining hall for more details.

Puzzled looks came over everyone’s faces. Sure Pat loved quests and puzzles. But this poem made no sense. Was this going to be another headache of a quest?

Only one way to see.

By eight in the morning, the staff all sat at the many tables. They all had the same thought in mind. Noiz sat near the front and watched everyone.

“What is going on?” Mosh asked. She shook her head. Suddenly, the doors blew up. Everyone looked up. Pat walked in with a huge grin on his face. He clapped his hands together.

“Good morning!” Pat said. “How is everyone today? Have a good night?” Everyone stared at him. Different mutters floated everywhere.

“Excellent, excellent!” Pat said. He pulled out an envelope.

“I expect you got these this morning, yes?” he said. Noiz raised her hand.

“Yes, dear Noiz?” he asked. The kitty girl lowered her head.

“What is the point of this?” she asked. The tanned old man broke into a huge grin.

“Well, I’m going to tell you, my dear!” he said. “I am sending you on a quest!” Pat laughed loud enough to reach the sky.
