Heartbreak Attack
Chapter One:
Cupid is Bored:
Love may be in
the air but Cupid isn’t feeling it. She sighed and rolled her eyes.
“This is lame,”
she complained. She sighed and looked out the window. Cupid pulled out her
phone.
“Hello?” a voice
asked on the other line. Cupid sighed.
“I’m bored,” she
said. There was a pause.
“Want to cause
some mischief?” the voice asked. Cupid raised her eyebrow.
“What did you
have in mind?” she asked. Her friend chuckled.
“I have some
ideas,” she said. Cupid stood up with a smirk on her face.
“I will be right
there,” she said. The deity vanished into thin air.
----------
Cupid and her
friend, Chaos, got right to work. At this point, Cupid just wanted some action.
Chaos was going to be the one in control.
“Ta-da!” Chaos
said as she held up a small bottle of purple dust in her hand.
“Ooo! What is
that?” Cupid asked. Her friend laughed.
“I don’t know,”
she said. The other deity had a confused look on her face.
“What do you
mean?” she asked. The pale-faced woman smirked.
“Oh, it’s just
something I cooked up last night,” she said. Chaos looked around for a moment.
“Want to see
what it does?” she asked. Cupid’s eyes glazed over as she started to smile. She
licked her lips.
“Yes!” she said.
Chaos smiled as she uncorked the bottle. She poured all of the contents down
onto the earth. Cupid watched like an excited child.
“Now what?” she
asked. Chaos turned to her with a grin.
“We sit back and wait,” she said. They looked down at the earth.
