It’s been three days. Lewis frowned at Kat. How long was she going to be staying
here? The farmer threw back her head and groaned.
“How long are you going to be staying here?” she asked. Kat tilted her head.
“Why?” she asked. Her aunt rubbed her forehead.
“I don’t know,” she said. Lewis dropped her shoulders.
“Look,” she said. “You aren’t my favorite relative.”
“But you and granddad are all I have,” she said. Lewis frowned. That was the
worst part.
“Well, yeah. But still…” she said. The words just froze in her mouth. The farmer
shook her head.
“Forget it,” she said. Lewis got off of the couch and walked out of the living
room.
“Auntie?” Kat asked. The farmer waved her off as she disappeared from the
doorway.

William stood outside of his house. Here it comes. Grandma was coming today.
Clover was already up and cooking in the kitchen. Liz was still asleep in her
old bed. William had to call her to get her to stay for a little while.
“Why is she coming over after so long?” she asked over the phone.
“I have no idea,” William said. “Could you please come over? I don’t want her to
go on and on about you not being here.”
“Alright,” she said. The old man breathed out.
“Cheers,” he said. Now, he just had to wait for the chaos to come. Maybe she
would forget and not come today? The old man shook his head. He should be so
lucky.
William happened to turn his head in time to see a taxi pulling down the narrow
road. He held his breath. Oh boy. So it begins. Show time. William straightened
up his clothes and smoothed down his hair.

Around noon, Lewis made it to the Sunny Plum Café. She just had to get away.
Lucky for her, friends were already there.
“Hey!” Clyde shouted, waving at her from the center table. Aisha smacked her in
the head.
“Ow!” the dirty biddy said. The leader sneered at her.
“Don’t be so loud,” she hissed under her breath. Lewis walked over to the table.
“How are you doing?” Muriel asked. The farmer rubbed her forehead.
“Not so good,” she said. She sat down at the table and joined them. Her friends
gave her a sympathetic look. Aisha patted her on the hand.
“Kat’s still there, huh?” she asked. Lewis groaned and dropped her head on the
table.
“I don’t know what to do here,” she said. “Can’t you help me out?” Her friends
all looked at each other.
Meanwhile, Annie and Tucker stood behind the counter. Annie sneered and shook
her head.
“Think they are going to loiter here again?” she asked. Tucker just shrugged and
shook his head. They watched the four old biddies at the table as Lewis lifted
her head and groaned.

Meanwhile, a ’77 Bristol 412 pulled into the town of Brit-Wales. A hand covered
in rings gripped the steering wheel. He made a mistake and now he had to get her
back.
